We interupt this fashion blog for..........

What's up everyone, Ms. Harlem here. I know this blog is suppose to be all about fashion and beauty but... I just came back from seeing a movie called "This Christmas" and I totally loved it...and have to share with all of you. It has been out for a while so I am sure many of you have already seen it...(support our black movies!!)

Don't you just love the holidays when families get together to have good times and sometimes bad times (ya know, everyone got that one family member that just doesn't know how to act when all the family gets together or drinks too much and the drunk tongue starts telling the truth about people...lol)...but you still look forward to it. Well, this movie has the good times and the bad times in it and I loved it all!!!

Regina King and Sharon Leal were in it and they were hilarious. It was good to see Regina King again in the movies. She is such a phenomenal actress.

Don't ya just love the family soul train line. Everyone bringing back all the old dances....and then Mama comes down the soul train line with her old dance moves, talking about how she still got it...classic

Family gathering around the kitchen cooking, talking and laughing

Chris Brown was actually good in the movie. Loretta Devine is always good in any role that she plays.

Lauren London was great too but you could tell there is a little hooch about her in each role she plays...I think she tries to get rid of it but I don't think she can, its just in her..... Keith Robinson was good in his role ( remember him from Dream Girls)

One sister can cook and the other one can't but swears that she can cook.

Mekhi Phifer had a small role in it and he was OK. You know what I noticed though, Mekhi has a tooth (in his mouth, of course) on the bottom that is just running a muck and I think he needs to visit the dentist and have it plucked out. I never noticed it before. If y'all have, let me know.

All in all, I really enjoyed this movie. It was a feel good movie and if some of you haven't seen it, make plans to see it this holiday season. It will definitely remind you of family..especially if you have a big family. I have one friend whose family is huge and sometimes at the family gatherings, anything can happen, it can be hilarious, good times mixed in with "what the heck just happened here" and its all good. I enjoy myself every time.

And now back to our regular fashion blogging......

I'll holla!!!

I too enjoyed This Christmas - it was funny and entertaining and displayed middle class African-Americans.

That was dead wrong about our boy Mekhi Phifer. How 1 of his 32's is protruding out. Get up off him you loved him in "Krooklyn" ms Harlem and by the way isn't he from Harlem.

Holla Back

I am not sure if he is from Harlem, but I know he got enough money to go get that one tooth pulled out. Dentists are everywhere and they will be more than happy to do the job.

This Christmas was an ok movie. It was a movie that you watch on a rainy sunday in the house with some popcorn. I definitely wouldnt consider it to be a major blockbuster, all because it has a couple of celebrities in it. I say this because, it lacked a story line. Dont get me wrong, I enjoyed it, but it was a little all over the place. Each character can now, have their own movie, because each character had THAT much drama.
